Alex has experience representing a diverse range of clients in connection with commercial real estate and business transactions, including owners, developers, tenants, franchisors, equity investors, and lenders.

Alex has handled a wide variety of real estate projects, including acquisition, development, and disposition of retail, restaurant, office, industrial multifamily, and hotel projects; leasing of retail, office, industrial, and medical properties; financing of development and construction projects; foreclosures; and joint ventures and investment/ownership structuring.

Prior to co-founding WLBO, Alex started his legal career in the real estate section of a Texas-based international law firm and most recently was a partner in another Texas-based real estate law firm for more than 10 years. Alex was selected to “Texas Rising Stars” by Super Lawyers every year from 2006 to 2012.

Alex was born in Los Angeles, California, was raised in Denton, Texas, and currently resides in Austin, Texas. Alex enjoys cycling, golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Rachel, and their two children.
