Jon A. Baker is a distinguished founding member of Walls Landry Baker & Oliver, where he specializes in the leasing, acquisition, disposition, financing, and development of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. These include office buildings, multi-family projects, industrial properties, raw land, and retail projects. He also provides expert representation for institutional lenders in real estate development financing. Jon's exemplary achievements in real estate law were recognized when he was named one of the Best Lawyers in America® for 2025, and previously recognized in 2024.
Prior to establishing WLBO, Jon served as a partner in a prominent Dallas law firm. His legal career began at Powell Coleman & Arnold LLP, where he ascended from the role of associate to partner. Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University, obtained in 1997, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, awarded in 2005. He further enriched his legal education as a visiting student during his final year at Southern Methodist University's law school.
As a member of both the Texas State Bar and its Real Estate Section, Jon has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the field of law, enhancing his reputation as a leading legal expert in the real estate sector.
