Terry R. Landry

Terry R. Landry is a commercial real estate transaction attorney with nearly three decades of experience, representing a broad spectrum of clients, including investors, lenders, developers, managers, and financial institutions. His early legal career was marked by positions at two of the largest U.S. law firms, Locke Lord, LLP, and Squire Patton Boggs, where he gained the rigorous legal education and extensive expertise that have defined his professional trajectory. Prior to his legal career, Terry was a certified public accountant in the audit department at KPMG Peat Marwick in Dallas. His significant contributions to Real Estate Law and Banking and Finance Law have earned him recognition in Best Lawyers in America® for 2025, since 2022.

Currently, Terry represents entities ranging from small and midsized businesses to Fortune 500 companies with transactions from small retail tenant leasing ($2,500/ month rent) to complex mixed-use development and financing ($150 million plus). His practice encompasses a full spectrum of transactions throughout the entire commercial real estate cycle, including acquisition, development, leasing, financing, entity formation, and disposition. He is particularly skilled in handling complex transactions involving office buildings, multi-family housing, senior housing, retail spaces, industrial properties, and raw land.

Before co-founding WLBO in 2023, Terry was a partner at another prominent Dallas law firm for 21 years. He holds a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Texas Tech Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University. An active member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of Texas, and the Probate and Trust Section, Terry continues to demonstrate his commitment to both his clients and his field.

Terry is married to his wife of over 20 years, Shonne Jamison Landry. While not behind his desk, Terry enjoys spending time with friends and family at his second “office” on the Texas Gulf Coast.
